Coconut Fiber Indonesia

       As an archipelagic country and located in tropical and agro-climate conditions that support, Indonesia is a major coconut producing countries in the world. Coconut fiber is a by-product, and is the largest part of the coconut fruit, which is about 35 percent of the weight of coconuts. Potential production of coconut fiber is so large not been fully utilized for productive activities that can enhance the value added. Coconut fiber, or in world trade is known as coco fiber, coir fiber, coir yarn, coir mats andrugs, is a product of coconut fiber processing. Traditionally coconut fiber fabric is only used for brooms, mats, ropes and tools of other households. Technological developments, physico-chemical properties of fibers, and consumer awareness to return to natural materials, made of coconut fiber utilized as industrial rawmaterials carpet, upholstery and dashboard of the vehicle, mattresses and pillows. Coconut fiber is also used for erosion control. Processed coconut fiber coir Coir Fiber Sheet to be used for coating car seats, Spring Bed and others.
